Compressing a file

I made a video story through Picture Story 3 and I am unable to email it as
an attachment because it is almost 27 MB and most emails will only allow an
attachment that is less than 10 MB (FYI - it is a .wp3 file).

Can you please recommend how I might be able to compress the file without
changing the contents (music, deleting pictures)?

This is for an Anniversary gift for my father whose wedding anniversary is
coming up and my Mom just passed away a couple years ago...please help as
soon as possible!

I also wondered if I could use a conversion program that would turn the file
(.wp3) into a .jpeg or something smaller and email it that way? I appreciate
your time or whomever's time that answers this!

The WP3 file is the project file, is large, and doesn't play.

You need to open the project file with PS3 and make the story from it. See
the Photo Story 3 > Saving page of my website.

I appreciate your prompt response, PapaJohn; however, I have figured out a
way to SIGNIFICANTLY decrease the size of the file without changing the
pictures, music or anything about the video.

In the "Save a Project" screen, click on "Settings" and choose "Play for
email 3" or something to that effect, but it's in the drop down box as the
last email choice, choice 3. After saving my project in that format, it made
the file go from 27 MB to less than 4 and I was able to email it to my father.

Thank you for your time and quick response; perhaps I wasn't clear in the
way that I worded the question; regardless, I appreciate your efforts to help!

================================
No...on the JPEG idea, that format is
specifically for still images not video.

The .wp3 file is your project file...that
is for re-editing purposes and is only
compatible with PS3. The file you want
to share is the completed .wmv movie file.

Rather that attempting to compress
the file and lower the resolution I would
suggest that you upload the.wmv file to
the following site and give your recipients
the download link.

"YouSendIt"
http://www.yousendit.com/

All you have to do is enter an e-mail
address in the Recipient field and
click the browse button to select the
file you wish to upload. Then click the
"Send It" button.

The next screen that appears will give
you the download link. Just copy/paste
it into the message to your recipients.

Open Photo Story as if you are going to edit your story.
The last window gives you the option to email.
The program will attach the photo story in an email that you are able to send.
I am also not able to create a new email & then attach the photo story to
send.
It is too large. I had the same trouble.
