I have backup files on a compressed drive (E
 .I want to refresh the operating system's uncompressed drive C: with these files Is this acceptable? Do the compressed files remain compressed? Or do they become uncompressed in the transfer? Is there a down side? dsg |

Whether they are compressed or not will depend on the setting of the destination directory. If it's set for compression, they'll be compressed. If not, they won't. HTH Pop` |
