I have had some problems recently when the automated
setup of Windows XP networking (both with other XP
computers as well as with ME) developed problems (e.g.,
computers connected but one complaining about access
permissions, etc.). What I want to do is systematically
examine every network component configurable in the
various menus on XP/ME/98. I know I could just start an
exhaustive search through the MS KB and other sources on
every term that pops up, e.g., WINS, LM Announce, etc.,
but I wondered if someone had organized this already to
facilitate a rapid assimilation of the details of
networking Windows computers (when the wizards stumble).
No, I don't want to purchase a book(s) or training course-
-a comprehensive, well-organized knowledge base
concerning Windows networking (down to every last
annoying detail) is "all" I need <g>. Thanks for any
suggestions.
