I noticed that my computer had slowed down drastically and now runs at least
at a constant 22% CPU Usage and whenever I try to open anything it
immediately jumps to 100% usage. Then - to my surprise - I noticed a new
item in my start menu. It's called Component services and it is a picture
of a yellow screw in the middle of a circle with a green, blue and red ball
attached to the circle. I don't know what I did? Can anyone help?

I have XP on a Dell laptop with IE 6 w/ SP2 installed. I also have norton
internet security which shows no virus? Thanks in advance for any
suggestions
