Hi all,

I just wanted to know if there is any tool that i can use to check the
dependency of a component on other components?

I wanted to use dependency walker but i think it will not work in this case.

Thanks for ur time.

Regards,

Kulsum

Check out Sean Liming's site: http://www.sjjmicro.com/XPES.html regarding
his XPe-SP2 Supplemental book and suite of tools that come with it. One of
the tools does what you're asking and more.

Kulsum,

On www.xpefiles.com there are some tools from Konstantin that you can use.
Or you can disble dependency check.
Add only component that you want to examine to empty project.
Try resolving dependencies and you will see the list of needed components.

Slobodan

Kulsum,

Are you with SP1 or SP2?

If SP1, the XPeTools package from www.xpefiles.com can help you out (DependencyExplorer component specifically).

If SP2, you can either use the same package or use the new SP2 documentation system that will show you all component dependencies
(no search, though).
