We are in the process of deploying Exchange/Outlook 2007 in our organization.
I am documenting the installation process for the Client given our desktop
configurations (WinXP Pro). Some of my testers made some setting changes,
etc.. while testing the Outlook 2007 Client. When I remove their Outlook
Profile, Remove the Outlook Client and reinstall from scratch, some of their
setting changes they made during the previous client install are still there?
Can someone tell me how to perform a TOTAL clean install of the Outlook
Client beyond what I am currently doing? Just deleting the Outlook Profile
and removing the Client, reboot, then reinstalling the client does not give
the user a true clean install if they had some changes that seem to come back
upon the next install.
Is there something that gets created in the users Desktop OS Profile that I
also need to delete? We are not using local .pst files. That feature has
been turned off. The ability to create local archives is not available. So
my assumption is there is something the client sets up for the user in their
desktop profile unique to the client. Or Registry changes are made for the
user based on their selections within the client?
So, does anyone have a quick and dirty on exactly what I need to remove for
the user to have a total clean install of the Outlook 2007 client and profile?
