find a program online called IEradicator2001. this will
remove all renmants of IE. I would suggest backing up your
favorites file. Also, to make things easier later, you
should download and save the IE6 file to your desktop.
(otheriwse later you will be left with no browser to get
IE6)

FINAL OUTCOME!!
My appletes again work in IE6.. java, etc.
Here's what happened

Above MS tech support recommended me to get
IEradicator2001.. and i did, unzipping and executing the
exe.. Everything went fine except it
errored "registering OCX webcheck.dll"

I continued ok, ?WONDER what that file is about?

Reading the doc file i understood I could rerun
Iradicator.. Then I did again wondering if that error
come again...

Seems to be a problem... Iradicator ran... I got into a
endless loop, my harddrive lites were flickering so I
waited and waited to do a CtlAltDel to end ?task? okay and
Iradicator continued okay.. but had a few errors getting
back to the desktop..

I did notice IE icons, system tray oranywhere was totally
gone..(they say is left still a few residule files.. but
it was gone..

I gotten frozen on the screen/kyboard for some reason,
thinking and being in my email.. I needed a reset button
rebooted again and got some kind of error saying my C:
harddrive had errors, I auto said yes to fix and it
scanned disk okay.

But am getting suspecious now of other problems, so I
rebooted my restart disk A:drive to reinstall win98SE
setup... just to be sure and i have done so numerous
anyways..

Checking my system this time my appletes worked in my IE6
browser, everything is okay again.. I do notice I was
reset back a few changes on my msconfig start up but I am
happy again.. prey to G
