Complete System Backup

When I use the Win XP Systsem Tools BACKUP utility, it does not let me choose my CD-Burner or DVD-Burner as the destination. I can get it to ask me to put a disc into the drive, but after I do so the 'hour-glass' mouse pointer just stays busy indefinitley!

I have also separately tried to save the backup file to a second hard drive (FAT32) and it then successfully starts and progresses writing the file; however, since the source system/data files are greater than 4Gb, the backup does NOT complete!

Hence, how can I complete system backup on my new Win XP system???

Thanks,
-Rich

a) Buy a third party software package that allows backup/spanning of
CD(s).
b) Change the format of your secondary hard drive to NTFS, you are then
allowed to create files greater than 4GB.

Thank you - Star Fleet Admiral Q - both a & b good
suggestions. Do you have an optimum third-party software
pkg opinion?

What third party software package allows backup/spanning
of CDs or DVDs?
Does this mean I can use Roxio ECDC 5 to format the
CD/DVD-Rs and then use them with BACKUP utility?
