Hi,
I hope I'm i the right section for this.

I want to remove my XP Pro completely and start afresh with Vista.
Where do I begin? I know Vista may remove my old version (SP), but I'd like
it from scratch.

Thank you.

How about this......pretend your doing a new XP Pro Installation and go all
the way to formatting the disk..after the disk is formatted stop the
installation.
OR...using the XP Pro CD and start the Recovery Console..at the "Welcome to
setup" screen push F10
..and when you get the prompt type in Format C: or whatever drive letter XP
pro is on.

I would assume the vista cd/dvd works in the same way as any other MS o/s
cd, in that it gives you the option to delete partitions etc prior to
installing.

This is more of a Vista question than XP, but Vista will give you the option
of formatting the drive during installation once you boot from the Vista
DVD.
