On a frequent but spasmodic basis, I find that my laptop computer completely
freezes up when playing any video, sometimes when playing music files, and
sometimes when showing pictures. The only way to exit the problem is power off
and reboot.
I'm not an expert, so would be fearful about doing anything complicated,
though I recently used the Microsoft site to "repair" Explorer, thinking it
might have a bearing on the problem.
Many thanks for any help offered.

How or who at microsoft.com has a "repair explorer" utility/software,no such
item...With video/pictures/music files,you're running youre pc/OS at max
sometimes, memory increase &/or better processor will help..Also,set virtual
memory in system properties to "let system manage" click set 2X after....This
will help some
