Look alot of the complaints about certain software such is
the Giant (Oops!!) Microsoft Anti-spyware are because
people installed security software like Anti-Spyware,
Firewalls & AV's on system's which are already severely
infected. I'll say this only once. Most spyware and viruses
are set up so that, should you try to install security
software after infection it will either kill the attempt
entirely, or mess up the program installation.

THE ONLY WAY TO INSTALL SECURITY SOFTWARE CORRECTLY IS WITH
A CLEAN INSTALL!!!!!!!! Installing anti-spyware on a system
already crawling with it won't usually work right.

I install this software myself. I have Ad-Aware & Pest
Patrol, and this program is on par with both.

To anyone who'd challenge that, I say, Format your hard
disk and install Fresh. Bet it works fine.

Speaking as some one who is in the business of cleaning the crap after the
fact, I'll simply state that you know not of what you speak. I've cleaned,
in-situ, machines that could not boot in safe mode much less normal mode.

Except sometimes the only sure fire fix is a reformat and re-install... back
up the data, look for discs and get busy.

Researching cures for worms and viri can be time consuming at times...
especially when the A-V is 14 months out of date and the system is all
bunged up. Mind you, that one was fixed without a reformat & re-install.
Amazing what Hijack This can fix... <VBG>...

Not to split hairs, but HijackThis doesn't remove
anything without a knowledgable user telling it what to
remove. In the hands of someone unfamiliar with the
normal functions of an OS it is very dangerous.
