Find an OS that does not need any "rubbish".
It does not exist.
By your reasoning ALL operating systems are Beta at best.

at least other OS developers truly care about fixing
problems and developing stable, secure platforms. MS's
policy of security through obscurity and release-first-
fix-later is what gets the community frustrated. some of
the IE vulnerabilities have been around for 6 months or
more - how do corporates mitigate the risk?

Many (and that is an operative usage of the word) ways - SOE sites,
multi-layered defenses, dedicated staff, very limited rates of change,
prohibition (or risk the sack) of games and dodgy surfing, segmentation,
monitoring tools, audits (and more no doubt).

But I feel for you and others that don't have any or all of these resources.

Cheers, Frank.

Laughing Out Loudly!!!
thats so funny! its so funny that, silly questions are
being asked in beta testing instead of technical! Well
Frank replied right, there is no such operating system
that don't need this "rubbish". Spywares sucks alot!

Sandy,

Be careful if you decide to go to the website this presentation is hosted
on. The swf that is quite enjoyable is actually served on a webpage that
also has a javascript that attempts to install a trojan on your computer. I
found it while testing anti-virus and anti-spam software and decided to
provide the link to the swf file only.
