I have just bought a game called "Guess Who?" for my son,
for our PC. However, I do not seem to be able to install
it.

I keep getting a very long error which says:

\"L_SEQNCR.c OpenVideoStream: Unable to open AVI file
named \"D:\\GUESSWHO\\DATA\\Haslogo02.AVI\", error code -
2147221008. This usually means that you don\'t have the
video decompressor needed, see the multimedia control
panel to add one (maybe you are missing Indeo 5.0?).\"

I have Windows XP, am I going to be able to install this
game on my PC?

If I can install it on my PC, what do I need to do? (I
have looked for the multi media control panel, but cannot
even find one).

I have spoken to the software company and they cannot
help, however, I am assuming that as I am using Microsoft
XP that you can help - Can you?

Thanks
Stu

Stuart,

The problem is caused by the compatability settings, right click the
shortcut, go to Compatability, and set the mode to Windows 95, 256
colours, 640x480, OK this and the game should work OK.

You may need an 8Mb graphics card, as the game will not run on a 4Mb
one.

Cheers

Simon
