If you have your antivirus program integrated into Outlook so that it scans
incoming mail, uninstall the AV program and reinstall it without the mail
scanning feature and see if that helps. It won't fix messages you've received
already, but if it is the AV program causing it (scanning is a major cause),
this should fix future incoming messages.

Depending on the AV program, disabling might not be enough. Completely
uninstall the AV program and reinstall without the mail scanning feature.

Also, try starting Outlook in safe mode (hold Ctrrl when starting it) and see
if that makes a difference.

Hi Gary,

We also having this problem.
We tried to fix this problem but cross office platform and web base mailbox
testing with our clients whose using Lotus 6.5.x to Lotus 8.

Cross platform list below:
All machine OS: XP pro w/SP3
1.) 1PC Outlook 2003 with all Service pack. ( unique email a/c)
2.) 1 PC Outlook 2007 without any Service Pack ( unique email a/c)
3.) 1 PC Outlook 2007 with all service pack ( unique email a/c)
4.) 1 PC using thunderbird, foxmail, live mail (( unique email a/c),
setting: leave
message on server)
5.) Client's Lotus note version, rang from 6.5.x to 8.5.

All PC using Symantec End-point protection.

Result: only 2.) and 4.) able to view out clients whose send us email via
their Lotus Note Client.

That a very common problem of between Outlook 2007 and Lotus Notes. I don't
know why Microsoft Ignore this big bugs in their Outlook !! What are fool
product !

I had call Microsoft for help !! but their answer is, sorry we are not able
to support you unless you buy the Premium service, each case cost you
HK$1000. But does not Guarantee can fix or not.

Hows your status?

Provide more information:

Our email server:
Linux Base email server

The problem we met list below:
1.) When we received our "lotus notes customers" emails, outlook just
displayed the content that my co-workers sent only. Their replied content is
missing or erased by Microsoft Outlook 2007 ! But at the same time, we can
view the replied email content from web base email platform which provided by
our email server. (P.S. we set the outlook leave all message on server for 2
days)

Although our solution can temporary fix the problem by guiding our staffs to
using the web platform, but they all feel very inconvenience to switch
between web platform and MS outlook.
