six gigs is not enough hard drive space. Check your
virtual memory through my computer and increase the
number.(advanced--> preformance--> virtual memory)

Hi

6 GB not enough................?

Donīt touch virtual memory settings !

Try to clean up your PC.

- First remove all programs you donīt use within add/remove
programs.

- Check all programs which auto starts, Msconfig

- Download CCleaner and remove all "junk" within hidden folders

http://www.ccleaner.com/

- Maybe also to defrag your hardisk.

I have XP Pro SP2 at work and home, both with 512K RAM. Scheduled scans and
updates are smooth on both, although I have issues with real-time protection
and system explorers at home (conflict of some kind, maybe...). Page file
uses custom settings of 768MB min, 1536MB max (never goes above 768); you
might try that. Free disk space shouldn't be a problem for you.
