Ok so it might sound strange to some people but I like to
play older games on my new computer just for humour and
fun. So I have this game made by acclaim "Constructor" and
I really want to play it but XP wont allow it to run even
in compatibility modes. Is there anything I can do? If the
only option is to boot in 98 or dos can i have some help
in how to make a 98 boot disk or how to navigate to the
game in dos... i have completely forgotten how to use it.

Uninstall the game from your system.

Browse the CD (right click on the drive in My Computer and click browse)
find the setup.exe (or may be install.exe) file and run that in compatibity
mode for Windows 95 (right click file / Properties / Compatibility / Run for
Win 95).

Then try running the game again when it's installed (again try compatibility
modes).

This has been confirmed to work, so it should get it going! 8-)

You may not be able to navigate to the game when you floppy boot to
DOS/Win98. If the XP drive where the game is installed is using the NTFS
format, the no DOS/Win98 boot disk will ever locate the drive. They just
can not read NTFS format normally.
