It seems that disables webscanx.exe, which is a function of
McAfee VirusScan, at least on Windows 2000.
I have gotten an error message on startup since I installed
MS AntiSpyware that a fatal error occurred with
webscanx.exe and that Windows would close the program.
Yesterday I ran a complete McAfee scan that took several
hours to complete. When I restarted the computer today I
did not get the error message for the first time in several
weeks. I immediately got notice of an AntiSpyware update. I
installed the update, restarted, and got the error message
again.
Has anyone experienced or resolved this problem?
