If I create a power point presention using PP 2003, can it be viewed by
someone running PP 2000? What if I use the pack-n-go feature and it is being
run from a CD?

My hopes are to create a CD training module that will automatically run when
the CD is started. I understand that I'll need PP 2003 to do this. This
module will be used by people with varying versions of PP though.

PowerPoint 2003 uses Package to CD, which includes PowerPoint Viewer 2003
when you burn them into the CD. This allows people with no PowerPoint the
ability to view the presentation.

The viewer can run on Windows XP, 2000 (service pack 3), Windows 98 SE,
Windows ME and Windows Server 2003.

In addition to what PowerPointHeaven said, you can go to the tools menu
and choose Options. Then click the Edit tab and check the three boxes
under Disable New Features. That will make sure that you don't use any
2002/2003 features that aren't available in 2000.
