comparing spreadsheets spreadsheet compare add-in

There was an original spreadsheet but now there are 40 mutations. I want to
combine the parts that are the same into one spreadsheet and keep track of
the differences. I noticed there is an add-in called spreadsheet compare.
This isn't just lists of numbers they are formulas. Do you have a
recommendation?

Windows 2000. It isn't Vista yet but would that help the problem? I could
get Vista. Can you explain?

From what I've read so far, I would wait for the next version of Vista.

The reason I asked is that some compare programs may not work on a MAC.
Chip Peason offers a free download written by Myrna Larson and Bill Manville
that may be what you need at... http://www.cpearson.com/excel/download.htm
Look for "Compare"

Also, there is the commercial Excel add-in "XL Companion", from yours truly,
that does a worksheet compare, selection compare, rows compare or a
match list. It has options to specify the type of comparison. For instance,
number differences or formulas only.
