I recall reading on DVD Fanatics or somesuch site that this problem is
harder than it seems. Basically the guy was trying to find out if he
had redundant copies of DVDs stored in his massive video library
collection. I forget how it was solved, but it wasn't easy (since he
had 100s of GB of files)
UPDATE: I'm trying out some shareware called "Directory Opus 9",
which is a replacement for Windows File Explorer in XP, and it does
have a tool called "Duplicate Files". Maybe that's what you want. It
also has a tool option called "print all files", which gives you names
of files and directory paths for any drive, in a text file you can
then use "Search" on.
Very cool program, Directory Opus 9, but very expensive ($100 USD). I
might keep it but it's kind of pricey.
