I'm not going to do your homework for you, but go to support.microsoft.com and
in the search box enter:

windows xp system requirements

You'll find your answers there.

Wow...if it didn't occur to you that Microsoft's website would be a good
place to find the hardware requirements for their software...I hope
computer science isn't your major.

There's no difference in the requirements for the two. You can find them
here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/h...g/sysreqs.mspx

But aware that official minimum requirements are only what you need to get
it running at all. Real-workd requirements--what you need to get it running
acceptably--are considerably greater.

The question is 'What are the hardware requirements for Win XP Pro and Win
XP Home?'..

Asking Google, one may type in the search box 'hardware requirements for Win
XP Pro and Win XP Home' and get a page like this one..

The WinXP Home and WinXP Pro versions are _identical_ when it comes
to hardware requirements, performance, stability, and device driver and
software application compatibility, but are intended to meet different
functionality, networking, security, and ease-of-use needs, in different
environments. The most significant differences are that WinXP Pro
allows up to 10 simultaneous inbound network connections while WinXP
Home only allows only 5, WinXP Pro is designed to join a Microsoft
domain (a crucial capability at most universities) while WinXP Home
cannot, and only WinXP Pro supports file encryption and IIS. (Oh, and
WinXP Pro usually costs roughly $100 USD more than WinXP Home.)
