Compaq Presario Install Problem (I/O error)

I want to install Windows XP Professional on a Compaq Presario 7476 (Camaro
Motherboard), I can't boot from de CD, so when I try to start de
installation with the floppy disk install set, when is trying to read the
first disk a black screen appears with the error "I/O error".

- The installation disk set is good, because works in other PC
- The same thing happens in other PC exactly like this one
- The same thing happens with W2K install disk

So, this chipset seems to have some problems with NT core OS's, HP/Compaq
doesn't have a BIOS update, and nobody seems talk about these on Internet; I
made all kind of test and I can't arrive to a solution.
The only thing that's works is installing first W98 and then upgrade to XP,
but is a pain in the ass.
Please, if someone knows any possible solution, please give me a hand.
