Compaq CD-ROM and CD-RW not responding

Everything has been fine for two months. Installed a new
external CD-RW (works fine). Aproblem CD-RW has been
replaced and worked fine and I used it a couple of times.
The other CD-ROM worked okay.

Now only the external CD-RW works. The CD-ROM will not
open and the new internal CD-RW will not work.

1. Clicking "My Computer" which only shows the one
external CD-RW (formerly the "E" and "F" where showing.
2. Device Manager only shows the "G" (external CD-RW).
and 3. The Registry shows all the CD-RW's and CD-ROM.

HOW DO I GET THE CD-ROM AND CD-RW INTO THE DEVICE MANAGER
AND HAVE IT SHOW WHEN I CLICK MY COMPUTER.
