If you kept the printer connected to the PC when you upgraded, the drivers
are now corrupted and the printer must be COMPLETELY uninstalled.
Disconnect the printer from the PC.
Follow the instructions at
http://www.coribright.com/windows/Article%20One.htm
Go to
www.hp.com and download the updated drivers for XP.
Install them... and do NOT connect the printer until the software tells you
to do so.
