I tried to install firefox the other day but it couldn't load any web pages
(probably more to do with our network than anything else), so I went back to
using IE. Since then it seems to have switched into compatibility mode, as
that's the message that comes up every time I try to load web pages,
particularly from hyperlinks. Can I switch this off? If so, how and if not,
what can I do about it?

Thanks

Hi,
Try the registry edit at http://windowsxp.mvps.org/ie/iecompat.htm

Be sure to backup (export) this key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App
Paths\IEXPLORE.EXE
before modifying it.

If you have no experience with REGEDIT you should get help.

Hope this helps,
Don
