Hi,

I am trying to run a Access 2003 database. I can connect to the db from our
fil server, and am allowed to enter my username and password. When i press
enter the access database closes.

I am running MS Office 2003 SP3 with Vista SP1. The same db works fine from
another computer with same logon details and user access.

I am just wondering could this be caused by SP3 from MS office.

Possibly. Of greater concern is that you are running your database from a
file server. To run on a server, you must split the database and put the
front-end, with all the code, reports, forms, queries, etc. connected to the
tables on the back-end (server). There is a wizard to do this for you, if
you like:

Tools >>> Database Utilities >>> Database Splitter
