I have an outlook 2007 local pst that is around 8.5Gb I dumped around 2Gb,
and started a "compact now" it has been running for 2 hours. Any idea how
much longer i should expect?

It has been about 11 hours since your question; is it still running? If
so, hope you have made a backup before starting the compaction.

Hi John,

To compact a *.pst file about 2 GB, the compression may take approximately 4-8 hours. Is it finished now?
