Hello

I'lm using Xpe on Geode thin client with Compact Flash in IDE.
I tested differents compact flash in differents mode.

the first was Transcend Industrial grade x45. this card doesn't support
DMA and my processor runs 500Mhz. When i tested my CF with HDTUNE the
bandwidth of CF was 1,2MBytes and CPU usage is 98%.
the second was Higawara Industrial grade x45. this card support DMA
When i tested my CF with HDTUNE the bandwidth of CF was 7MBytes and CPU
usage is 5%.
I think the limitation is due to cpu power.

I searched around the net different CF grade industrial to be able to
support DMA mode and found three manufacter:
Hagiwara(toshiba) , Sandisk and Silicon System(???). The problem is the
price of these cards. The first is 200$ and the second and third are
around 350-400$ for 1Go with industrial Grade

Do you know another manufacter to be able to support DMA? which price?
I ear that transcend preview one CF flash x120 without grade industrial
which support DMA.

Thanks for your suggestion!

Regards,
Clems
