I have just formatted a 64mb compact flash card from my
digital camera (fat32)

On reloading to the camera when I tried using it I
received a message that the card was full.

Putting it in the card reader nothing at all showed up.

Where have I gone wrong? Any help much appreciated

Roy

You formatted the card IN the camera itself? If not, try that

No, formatted in the inbuilt card reader on computer.

Will try what you suggest. Many thanks for the other addresses by the
way. Roy.

Roy,

Some cameras don't like FAT32 as the file system. Some cameras have their
own filesystem or the like. Check with the camera and CF chip manufacturer
for further information/specs/procedure for reading/writing/formatting the
chip.

If worse comes to worse, and the camera has the option, insert the CF card
back INTO the camera, and format it there and try again.
