I use a PCMCIA compact flash adapter to transfer files
between my home and work laptop and from my digital
camera. I'm having problems, however, in using the
adapater with different cards. It works perfectly with
my 128MB SanDisk card, showing up immediatel as another
drive in My Computer.
However, I just purchased another card, a 256MB card from
Lexar. The computer recognized the card and installed
several different drivers. However, it doesn't show up
on My Computer. I'm using Windows XP Pro, Service Pack 1
on this laptop.
Weird thing is that when I use this same adapter/card
combination on my work computer, running Win 2000, it
works perfectly. Anyone know why this is happening?
