I am trying to view the common tasks in folders and I am not able to activate
this option. I am trying to change my display picture on my desktop and I
cannot see the desktop tab in the settings window. I used to be able to do it
but it is gone. Can anyone give some ideas? anything is good....

Thank you for your comment. I did what you suggested and but when I get down
to the branch ....\policies\explorer the explorer branch does not show
up. Is there a reason for this? Is there another way or a way to be able to
view this explorer branch? Thanks again for your help...

That branch may not exist by default, but created only when a Policy is set. Have you checked the other registry location too, as indicated in the article?

thank you ramesh when i clicked on my desktop folders like my pic the search
desktop came up tryed REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL now i see them like shortcut
to games thank you
