Comments when entering words for search

On a WinXP SP2 reinstall, on the Google homepage I am getting a drop down
window with suggested search words using the word or words I have already
entered. Very handy, but is there a way to turn this feature on/off?

Why did you reinstall WinXP SP2?

IE Tools | Internet Options | Content | Autocomplete | Settings | Use

Open the Google Homepage:


1. On the right - select Preferences
2. Scroll down to Query Suggestions (last one)
3. Select Do not provide query suggestions in the search box
4. Save Preferences

Too horrible to go into. Installed larger HD by cloning - piece of cake,
right? Wrong! Complete disaster started over. Bah Humbug
