Style defintions control paragraph formatting, language, etc., etc.
I believe that to solve this problem you will have to modify the document's
Comment Style. You may also need to modify Word's default comment style to
avoid this problem in future documents. I am assuming that the style is set
for a right to left paragraph, and is probably interpreting your keystrokes
for their Arabic equivalent.
(After you modify the document's style and/or your Word style, if you send
it back to the document's orginator, it will probably mess-up his ability to
display comments, too.)
