IE for obvious reasons, FF for several limitations I can't get around
(yes, I've been to the forums. No resolution.) Netscape already
ruled out.

Also looking for something secure that I can do my banking on.

Thanks.

I like Opera 8.02 and K-Meleon 0.9.
I'm confident to use either of them for my own Banking.
http://www.opera.com/
http://kmeleon.sourceforge.net/

There are frequent updates to Opera and security problems are quickly
fixed.

K-Meleon isn't updated as frequently as Opera or Firefox but I have
always preferred K-Meleon to Firefox.

I'll second that -- I've used K-M as my default browser for about 6-8
months now, and am very happy with it.

(It took a little bit of fiddling to get it the way I wanted -- a tad
of geeky tinkering was involved -- but I really like it.)

That's great.
I have Opera as my default but for some of my daily tasks I prefer to
use K-Meleon instead of Opera. I know there are K-Meleon forums but I
don't like forums and I've never discovered a news group where
K-Meleon is discussed.

I've very seldom seen it mentioned in news groups, but when I was
setting things up, the K-Meleon forum was pretty good. (I've not
followed it for a while, as there's nothing I've needed to change in my
set-up.)

The most refreshing thing about that forum -- at least when I was
reading it -- was a very distinct lack of the yah-boo-sucks boosterism
that I seemed to encounter everywhere in the FF and Opera forums.
(Endless flame wars of the "this browser's great and everything else
sucks" -- or vice versa -- stuff.) The motto tended to be "my browser
is not my religion; whatever works for you is good, even that's
Microsoft", which made a nice change...

Would you tell use your limitations in Firefox? Other than that I'd
reccommend Opera (http://www.opera.com/), the last of the Great triad
of browswers.

As an IE replacement: http://www.maxthon.com/ Second to none.

Isn't that an IE shell rather than a *replacement*? (That is, unlike
Mozilla, FF, K-Meleon, etc., if you don't have IE installed, Maxthon
won't work.)

Don't have a clue, but it sure is a nice fast browser and very user
friendly. FireFox still my default.

Opera is very good IMO. See www.opera.com Note that the freeware
version has a static banner 1/2" x 2" in the upper right hand corner.
