I am using Word 2003. My Save, Save As and Print comands, accessed from the
File menu or via Cntrl S etc. are greyed / not available. Saving via the save
icon or closing the document and being prompted to save appears to work and
save my edits.

Can anyone advise a fix for this?

This could be caused by corruption of the data key in the registry - see
