My command prompt is giving me an error message "ping is not recognized as an internal or external command". Please can someone help me fix it. Thanks.

Does the ping.exe file exist in C:\Windows\System32\?

What happens if you run "C:\Windows\System32\ping.exe", does that work?

I don't know if the file exists. The directory that I am pinging from is
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator>
I tried to run "Windows\System32\ping.exe" from the above directory but it is still giving me error.
