How come my other hard drive F: sometimes disappears?

When I do a turnoff computer sometimes when I reboot the other hD is
not there. I rectify it by turning off the PC again though.

I have no idea why it sometimes disappears though.

Could one of the cables inside the computer be a bit loose?

Does the BIOS notice the second hard drive when Windows XP does NOT notice
the second hard drive?

I've had the same problem. When XP crashes and I use the reset button
to restart the computer, the second hard drive disappears. The BIOS
does see the drive when XP does not.

Any ideas?
