font and other standard Windows font stles have stopped working.
I can't select blocks in style sheets anymore.
I can still drag and drop to auto link a style sheet, but even a clean bare
site has big troubles applying the style sheet. Most everything is ignored.
Apply something in one dialog of the cryptic tryptic theme tool and it gets
immediately converted to something else in another theme dialog, What appears
on the page - well that's anybody's guess.

directories. Why is it increasingly ignoring what I input and using tons of
corrupt code?
NO, definitely no worms or viruses.
Basically, I have to go through page-by-page doing inline styling.
Sometimes most I do is ignored but usually FrontPage likes to comply as long
as the code contains frequent breaks to insert bulky inline style.
My pages are bloating, I mean really BLOATING with tons of useless code.
The auto-inserted code replaces all my efforts with appearances I really
don't want.. Stupid things are happening, like "normal" font in three
different styles in one paragraph. Try and hand code a page and the code
changes when you look back or the code is ignored.

The only thing still working by the book are standard tables.
Though now inserting a single default table can thorw in half a page of code.
Sometimes just a few tables translate as a half minute of download time.

People are complaining.

I have bought a 64 bit system.
All hardware recommended by Microsoft.
Like my system secirity software, everything is expensive and standard and
by the book.

I've reinstalled my Windows XP operating system and office many times
without effect. FrontPage is getting more and more unreliable.
When is Microsoft going to clean this mess up?

Why did you reinstall XP and Office for an FP problem?

And it sounds like you are trying to over ride the default Theme formatting.
Or you have a virus or spyware.

Jim Buyens Zen is my temple these days.
I follow his advice on how to edit themes.
But it is really not working out too well.

Contributing factors are publishing on multiple SharePoint servers and
(possibly) Symantec system securiity.

What I am hoping for is a technical experts article on configuring the
themes using Windows explorer and editing various system files.

The FrontPage defaults really cannot cope with (I suspect) SharePoint server
meshing. While the way Microsoft Office links into the SharePoint is
"seamless", non-the-less, for the site administrator publishing with
FrontPage, important functionality seems to slip away as the various Windows
XP, Microsoft Office, Windows Server 2003, etc updates are extending our
products.

The technical experts approach is the only method that ever seems to work in
this situation. Namely where the rush to critical patches for multiple
platforms delivery stretches product development too thin to maintain the
entire package.

Of course, I confess this is second guessing where the development team is
at. However, with my primary tool steadily eroding, I cannot help considering
what must be sressing desktop operations.

Please, do not rsuh so quickly through your replies. I have read AAA+
suggestions coming from your desk, Rob. I chocked when I saw your reply to my
initial cry for help. My apologies for "getting emotional".
