I can't publish to Comcast - no one at comcast can help me - in fact - half
of them do not know what Fp extensions are. I get errors when publishing
with extensions - but not FTP. I did go about activating the FP extensions
on my account - but - how do I know they were actually installed and working?

Open the site directly in FP using File Menu | Open Web / Site and entering

You may need to delete the extensions and then re-activate them to get them
to work. I have a web on comcast that NEVER would accept http with
extensions although they were activated. I had to use ftp to publish the
site until some wise soul on this newsgroup told me to reinstall the
extensions and it has worked like a charm since! Thanks again guys! BTW -
comcast was no help to me either!

The last rep I spoke with - told me to do the same - and it did not work -
what exactly did you do to uninstall them?

I went to comcast web features and unchecked the frontpage ext box. Then I
logged out and back in again - went back and re-checked the box. All has
worked fine since then. Good luck!
