Combobox's list is empty when bound to a DataView that has data

I've created a DataView and set the DataSource of a combobox to this
DataView. I also set the DisplayMember and ValueMember. The DataView
does indeed have data but the combobox has no values in its list. What
could possibly be preventing these values from being displayed?
