Here are the specifics:

New Dell P4 2.66
installed combo PCI - USB 2 and Firewire
attached Sony drx-510ULX
and now I get this error message - "The Generic USB hub is
a high-speed USB device and will not function at reduced
speed when plugged into a non-HI-SPEED port."



in looking at the message it appears that the "mass
storage device" the sony
is daisy chained to the USB 2 Hub
So why the error?

the hub that it is referring to - is my Dell 1901fp
monitor which is a USB2.0 Hub - I have this device plugged
into the PCI combo card so the Hub should see that it is
USB 2.0.

But in the daisy chain diagram shown on the error message
it show the HUB comes after the VIA USB 2.0 Enhanced Host
