combo drive (cdrom/dvdrom/cdrw) not detected by windows xp

My laptop combo drive cannot be installed in the windows
although it is tested good with other laptop. windows xp
was automatically detected it but there is an during
installation of the driver and the error code is 39. I
dont want to re-install my OS so is there any possible way
to fix my problem.
