I used to have a 'puter with a Leadtek Winfast k7ncr18d motherboard that
was quite happy with it's 1 Gig RAM.
But then it broke...some factory malfunction I was told. And because it
took a long time to replace the shop decided to reward my patience by
replacing it with a Leadtek Winfast k7ncr18d Pro.
Upon trying out at home I discovered however that I only got 256 MB RAM.
So I phoned and could pick up the remaining 256 MB and 512 MB sticks.
Then at home I couldn't get my puter to work with all the RAM plugged in.
Got the continues long beeps that upon looking up meant "RAM not okay",
I checked and each unit was functional when plugged in by it's own and 2
256 MB's could happily work together but it balked when I tried to
combine the 512 MB stick in any way with them or either of the
others...no matter in which slot I plugged what in. I tried all combo's
to make sure.
I looked up on my original receipt and the current sticks and the
receipt said my original 2 256 MB RAMs had been pc2700 which seems to be
equal to DDR333, but the ccurrent sticks said DDR400. I dunno what my
original 512 MB RAM was, but this one was DDR333.
I phoned the shop again for help, asking if it was perhaps the
dissimilarity that made them refuse to work together.
They offered to give me 2 sticks of 512 MB in exchange for the 3 that
wouldn't work together.

So now I'm back with 2 512 MB RAMs that are both DDR400.
But again...no matter how I plug them in they won't work together.
They will if I plug in 1 on DIM1...but no matter what DIM combo I use
they won't work both on this board.

Anyone...please any idea what the problem here is?
Should I ask for replacing the RAMs with DDR333 or did I overlook something?
