Combo Boxes - Coloring

I have the following combo box menus:
Column A - Job
Column B - Date
Column C - Time

Is there a way to colour the Job combo boxes according to what is selected.
The list of cells which appear in the box are coloured at the source cells
but the colouring is not carried forward into the combo box.

Also if a job is selected which is coloured red can I carry this colouring
across columns B and C whatever is selected in the combo box?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
