I have an Access Database being used by 50 people. There is one backend and
50 Individual and Identical Front ends. I've had a heck of a time with
record locking issues from day one. I had all the users change their Access
settings to 'No Locking', and so far we are doing better but now a new
problem has arrised.
There are forms with drop down combo box controls on them and these forms
also have a subform with drop down combo box controls that references a
second table. A query combines the data from the table for the parent form
and the data for the subform.
At times the users are updating a record and the drop down combo controls on
the Parent form stop working, meaning they can open the list but cant make a
selection.
Anyone know why? Is this because we changed the settings to 'No Locking'?
