I have 2 halves of a video I want to combine into one file to fit onto one
DVD (Rolling Stones off the air in Buenos Aires). Is this way too much
trouble?

Easy to do, but with third party editing software, not with Windows Movie
Maker. The easiest one for this IMHO would be Cyberlink's PowerDirector
will will happily import VOB files with no conversion needed.

You will probably have to copy the VOB files from one DVD to your hard
drive, then from the second DVD to the hard drive and ensure the file names
of the second are not exactly the same as from the first DVD... if so,
rename them.
