Combining two business contacts?

Hello

I work in a small company and our sales team use Business Contact Manager to
log all business activity to our customers which we all have access to.

The problem I have is that we have two business contact cards for two sites
but we want to merge them as one, as our points of contact are only ever
based at the main site.

I have tried:
* Linking each individual activity item to the 'main' business contact card
(It saves the activity with todays date and time and not when the activity
was originally logged. If I don't 'save and close' the activity it doesn't do
anything at all)

* Adding both the business contacts to an account
(this works in essence, but I can't delete the original two contacts and for
the sales team to start changing how they use BCM after all these years for
just one customer defeats the object)

Ideally, I'd like to move the contact history from one to the other and
delete the original but I can't see a way of doing that without overwriting
the date and times they were logged - we perform call reports regularly so
they mustn't change!

Any suggestions...?

Emma

PS. I'm not very technical...button by button walkthroughs are probably the
best bet!!
