Combining themes

I current use the pre-defined FrontPage "themes". However, I like the
background of one theme and the navigation buttons of another. Is there
anyway to combine them?

I've tried modifing a theme, and found that certain elements can be
combined. For example, I can creat a copy of theme "x", and then have it use
the colour palet of theme "y". However, this doesn't seem to work for
navigation buttons. If I go to theme "y" and get the name of the GIF file for
the navigation buttons and try to change this for my copy of theme "x", it
cannot find the GIF file. The file (at least by the specified filename)
doesn't exist either on my computer or on the disk. Microsoft seems to have
encoded the files in some way, so that the filename doesn't seem to exist.

Is there any way around this?

You have retrieve the images from one theme and then insert them into the other theme, you can not
just reference them.
