Combining scanned pages into one big jpeg image and do annotation on it?

HI all,

I have 3 pages scanned in PDF and I hope I can combine them into one big
jpeg image and post it online on forums.

The goals are:

1. Three pages cancated into one page(the height of the image is 3x larger
than a normal image);
2. Do some annotation on this big image;
3. Convert everything into JPEG image file and then post it online on
forums...

The sniptool only allow no more than screen size capture.

Any convinient softwares that can fulfill the above requirement?

If I use a separate tool to combine the 3 pages into one big JPEG image, the
sniptool does not allow opening a file to make annotations, that's too
bad...

---------------------

Currently I have the following software:

Acrobat Pro 7.0
Tablet PC XP Pro
Sniptool included when I buy the Tablet PC

I can also install the PHOTOSHOP, but I really hope there can be simple
solutions and in very few mouseclicks instead of using the bulky
photoshop...

1) Rescan or convert the PFD images to an image format (jpeg, bmp or tiff
etc).

2) Join them together using a free graphics program (even MS Paint can do
this using copy and paste if you have no alternative). However If you want a
seamless join consider using a program that will assemble panoramaa from
seperate images. I use Panorama Factory but I think the free program
Irfanview can also do this.

3) Open the resulting image with almost any free graphics program and add
text annotations (MS Paint could be used).

4) If the result is a huge file... Consider using Irfanview to reduce the
resolution and convert the result to jpeg format.

Manually copy and paste and join the pictures are too painful... are there
any software tools doing it in batch mode?

Try Irfanview. You compile a list of files select horizontal or vertical and
hit the button.

This is the greatest solution I have seen. it is really a one click
solution! Thank you so much!

Btw, I have also figured out a method using PDF printing to a super huge
vertical sized page and convert from pdf to jpeg... also worked.
