Hi

Is there free software(windows or linux) out there that will allow me
to combine multiple scanned images into one multipage tiff image.

please help.

tiffcp and maybe ImageMagick; they're on your distro CDs. Like so:

tiffcp -c COMPRESSION *.tif alltiffs.tif

....converts all files matching glob *.tif into a multipage image called
alltiffs.tif in format COMPRESSION. (Note that LZW may not be
available depending on how old your tiffutils package is.) The
tiffutils package is also available on Windows and it does the same
thing there. If the source images aren't in TIFF, use ImageMagick's
convert to make them TIFF. HTH,

IrfanView does it easily from any common source file formats.

ACDSee shareware also, can convert tiffs to multi-page. Vuescan can
output multi-page tiff, as you scan.

Iview free of course, and does them from just about any format, don't
have to be tiff to start with. Cool, if you need it for that.
